Why Lambert vs. the Big Guys
It's simple: to the big guys, you are a number on a spreadsheet. To us, you are a customer, neighbor, and a relationship. We're not here to be best friends, but we want your life to be a little better because you use us.
We're also family-owned, locally operated, and priced below the others.
Service Area
At Lambert Disposal, we currently service Vinings (30339), Smyrna (30082 and 30080), Sandy Springs (30327, 30328, and 30350), and East Cobb (30068, 30067, and 30062). However, we are a new business that is seeking to expand, so we will be adding more service areas!
Currently, Lambert Disposal services the following zip codes in Cobb County: 30068, 30067, and 30062. But we are expanding and seeking to add more service areas in the near future! Check our service area page or call us to see if we're headed your way soon.
Pricing & Plans
All of our prices for trash, recycling, and bin cleaning are listed on the Start Service form. Just click the link to see exactly what each service costs.
Our curbside trash service is $19.75/mo — below the big corporate haulers — with no setup fee and no contract. We're locally owned, so you're not paying for a private-equity owner's margin. And through Neighbors Helping Neighbors, you and any neighbor you refer each get a month of service free.
Two ways to save. Neighbors Helping Neighbors: refer a neighbor and you both get a month of service free — there's no limit, so five referrals means five free months. Community Heroes: 10% off ongoing service for current or former military, law enforcement, firefighters, EMS and paramedics, teachers, and social workers — for you or your spouse. Just select your occupation on the Start Service form and upload your ID, or email it to howdy@lambertdisposal.com. The two stack.
While the going rate is $20–$30 per month for one trash bin picked up weekly from other providers, Lambert Disposal comes in at $19.75/month for curbside service and only $34.75/month for backdoor service. Check out the Pricing Comparison tool Here.
There is no setup fee and no contract. However, all customers must agree to our privacy policy and terms of service in order to become a customer.
When a neighbor signs up for Lambert Disposal and tells us you sent them, you each get a month of service free. Your credit is applied to your next quarterly invoice once their first payment goes through, and theirs is applied to their first invoice. There's no limit — refer five neighbors and you get five months free. New customers just enter the name and address of whoever referred them on the Start Service form, or text us at (770) 685-7113 and we'll add it.
Yes! Recycling and bin cleaning can be added to any trash plan. However, bin cleaning and recycling cannot be added without an active trash subscription. See pricing on the Start Service page.
Trash & Logistics
Pickup days are assigned by area. Sandy Springs (30327, 30328, 30350) is Tuesday. Vinings (30339) and Smyrna (30080, 30082) are Wednesday. East Cobb (30062, 30067, 30068) is Thursday. We'll confirm your day when your service starts. Holiday weeks and severe weather can shift a pickup — we'll always give you advance notice.
Yes! One of the biggest advantages to using Lambert Disposal is that we offer backdoor service in addition to curbside service. Backdoor trash service is a premium collection service where sanitation workers retrieve your trash and recycling directly from your house, garage, or side yard, rather than requiring you to drag the bins to the curb. Perfect for steep and long driveways!
Please note, all bins must be outside and accessible to be picked up. The crew cannot empty bins inside the garage, behind a fence, or any other inaccessible area.
If you have a gated community or driveway, please communicate with our team when you sign up for service to arrange a way in.
Accepted (everyday household waste): food scraps and food packaging; glass bottles and jars; plastics #3 through #7 (yogurt cups, tubs, clamshells, takeout containers); plastic bags, film, and wrap; styrofoam; food-soiled paper, napkins, and paper towels; diapers and hygiene products; pet waste and cat litter; and other ordinary household garbage. Our recycling is single-stream but limited: paper, cardboard, cartons, metals, and #1 and #2 plastics only. Glass, plastics #3 through #7 (yogurt cups, clamshells, takeout containers), plastic bags, and styrofoam go in your trash. Why no glass? Glass shatters in the truck, and the shards contaminate the paper and cardboard around it — which is the part that actually gets recycled. Glass goes in your trash bin and we'll take it from there. NOT accepted in trash: hazardous waste, paint, chemicals, automotive fluids, motor oil; batteries; tires; liquids; medical or biohazardous waste (needles, medications); construction/demolition debris; large appliances; and large furniture. All trash must be bagged.
Up to 15 per week. Additional bags will be billed at $1.50 each.
Upon providing verbal consent, customers are opted in to a text message reminding you to put your bins out and ready for pickup the following morning. If you do not want this reminder, you can easily opt out.
Yes, all trash must be bagged. It's a safety precaution, as loose trash can fly out of the truck during pickup. Bagging keeps the neighborhood clean and safe!
Do you have a lot of trash? Need more than one bin? No problem. We can pick up as many bins as you need. Please specify how many bins you will need picked up on a regular basis. Please note, unmarked bins will not be emptied. See pricing on the Start Service page.
Recycling
Yes! Lambert Disposal offers weekly recycling pickup. See pricing on the Start Service page.
All recycling must be clean, dry, empty, loose, and unbagged. Accepted: flattened cardboard boxes and flattened corrugated packaging; mixed paper: mail, magazines, newspaper, office paper, phone books; paper-based food service packaging (clean paper takeout boxes and containers); dry food boxes and cartons (cereal, crackers, pasta); #1 pet plastic drink bottles only (water, soda, sports drinks); #2 hdpe plastic jugs and bottles only (milk jugs, detergent, shampoo); aluminum cans; steel and tin cans; scrap metal: copper wiring, pipe, small appliance parts, aluminum siding and gutters. Plastics limitation: #1 and #2 plastics only — that means water and soda bottles, milk jugs, and detergent bottles. Yogurt cups, clamshells, takeout containers, plastic bags, and styrofoam are trash, not recycling. NOT accepted (put these in the trash instead): glass of any kind, including bottles, jars, and drinkware; plastics numbered #3 through #7, including yogurt cups, tubs, clamshells, and takeout containers; plastic bags, film, and wrap, including grocery and takeout bags; styrofoam of any kind; aerosol spray cans; paint cans; batteries; electronics; wood; cabling and hoses; propane tanks and cylinders; chemicals; food waste and liquids; food-soiled paper, napkins, paper towels, and grease-soiled pizza boxes; diapers, hygiene products, pet waste and litter. Why no glass? Glass shatters in the truck, and the shards contaminate the paper and cardboard around it — which is the part that actually gets recycled. Glass goes in your trash bin and we'll take it from there.
If glass, trash, or any of the not-accepted items above are mixed into a recycling bin, a $5 charge per contaminated bin, per incident applies, and we may skip the bin or dispose of its contents as trash. To avoid the charge, keep recycling to paper, cardboard, cartons, metals, and #1 and #2 plastics only — no glass, no plastics #3 through #7, no plastic bags, and no styrofoam — and make sure everything is clean, dry, empty, loose, and unbagged.
Yes! Recycling service can be added to any trash plan.
Bin Cleaning
Have you ever opened your trash bin to find a stinky mess, or worse, maggots? All trash bins get dirty over time. Our bin cleaning service uses a high-powered washing system that eliminates odors, trash juice, and debris from your bin, and returns it clean and sanitized the same day. See pricing on the Start Service page.
Smart Cleaning is our bin cleaning plan designed to save you money by only cleaning your bins when they actually need it. We clean monthly through the warm months (March–November), when odor and bacteria build up fastest, plus once more in January — and pause in December and February. That's 10 cleanings a year. The cost is spread evenly across all 12 months, so your bill stays flat and predictable year-round. See pricing on the Start Service page.
Smart Cleaning is one flat, even monthly rate. Curbside customers start at $16.75/mo for one bin, plus $3.75/mo for each additional bin. Backdoor customers start at $29.75/mo for one bin, plus $6.75/mo for each additional bin. Every month is billed the same amount — even December and February when we're not cleaning — because we spread the annual cost evenly across all 12 months.
Holidays & Missed Pickups
Lambert Disposal will be closed on New Year's Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Pickups affected by holidays will be rescheduled, not skipped, and customers will be notified in advance.
Please call, text, or email us immediately and we will come as soon as possible to pick up your trash! We're not perfect, but we will make it right as soon as possible.
Billing
Billing is quarterly on the 1st of each quarter. Autopay is required.
We accept credit cards, debit cards, and electronic bank transfers. We do not accept checks or cash.
If you can provide proof of a move, we will refund you for any uncompleted service. If you experience ongoing service issues that we are unable to resolve, we will also refund you for any uncompleted service.
Getting Started
Your service will start on the next pickup day for your area after you sign up!
Not at all! Simply have your bin out and ready on your scheduled pickup morning and we'll take it from there.
That depends on your hauler — some prorate a refund for service you paid for but didn't receive, and some don't. If yours won't, we'll credit the unused portion of your current quarter to your Lambert Disposal account so you're not paying twice for the same weeks. Just text or email us your final bill or statement showing the unused amount and we'll apply it. Text (770) 685-7113 or email howdy@lambertdisposal.com.
Bulk Items, Hazardous & Special Waste
We do not haul large or bulky items ourselves, but we partner with Joseph's Junk Removal to help our customers remove bulky items as well as some hazardous and special waste. To learn more, visit them at josephsjunkremoval.com and make sure to tell them you are a Lambert Disposal customer!
We do not schedule separate bulky pickups, but we refer our customers to Joseph's Junk Removal for large furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, tires, and certain construction debris. Just contact them with the items and quantity so they can confirm acceptance and pricing. Hazardous, medical, and biohazardous waste are never accepted and must go to an authorized facility.
While Lambert Disposal and Joseph's Junk Removal are referral partners, Lambert Disposal is not owned by, affiliated with, or tied to Joseph's Junk Removal. However, the owner of Lambert Disposal, Joseph Lambert, did start Joseph's Junk Removal in 2019. To see more about the history, see Lambert Disposal's History and Joseph's Junk Removal's History.
Bin-Related
Yes and yes. We provide a 96-gallon bin at no extra charge if you need one — that's the default. If you'd rather use a bin you already own, that works too, as long as it's roughly 96 gallons or smaller. We'll add a Lambert Disposal ID sticker so our drivers know it's on the route.
We provide 96-gallon bins and any customer-owned bins must not exceed 96 gallons.
If your bin is damaged or stolen, just call, email, or text us as soon as possible and we will work to get you a replacement quickly.
