we got here.
- 2013 – 2015
The Early Days
Our story really starts when I was in middle school. With a single mom and four younger siblings, I started a lawn-care business and worked in construction over the summers. I learned so much: how to work hard, communicate with customers, maintain equipment, branding, and most importantly, the value of honest work, a firm handshake, and looking a person in the eyes.
As I started high school, I wanted to expand my landscaping business — but lacking a driver's license and a truck was limiting. Finally, I partnered with a friend who had a driver's license and a 15-passenger van (the van was incredible!). Together, we created Southern Standard Landscaping, which still exists today delivering top-tier craftsmanship and unbeatable service to metro Atlanta.
- 2016
Driver's License
I bought a dream truck: a red 1986 F-150. Fully equipped with a pickup, a rented U-Haul trailer, and plenty of American ambition, I was ready to conquer the world.
I offered many services to my neighbors and the surrounding area: landscaping, pressure washing, gutter cleaning, hanging Christmas lights, painting, moving, and more. One of the key lessons I learned at this stage is that it's much better to be an "inch wide and mile deep" vs being a jack of all trades.
- 2018 – 2019
Junk Removal
I realized the potential in junk removal after a client hired me to haul away some items. I loved the simplicity and scalability of the service. I felt like it was worth focusing on 100%.
What first started out as "Highschoolers Hauling Junk" eventually became Joseph's Junk Removal.
- 2019
College?
After graduating high school, I decided to run Joseph's Junk Removal full time for a semester. The business grew substantially that semester and I decided to focus on the business instead of going to college.
It was hard work and long days, but I was blessed to be surrounded by a fantastic and ever-growing team.
- 2019 – 2025
Joseph's Junk Removal
Over the next several years, that "high school kid in a pickup" grew into an industry leader in the southeastern United States, eventually being acquired by Allied Junk Partners.
- 2026
Lambert Disposal
After the acquisition, I spent two years working closely with the Allied Junk Partners team, gaining hands-on experience in the national waste industry and scaling operations across the sector.
Now I'm bringing the same passion for people, culture, value, service, hustle, leadership development, and relentless efficiency to a new venture: Lambert Disposal, your neighborhood trash team.
